Established in 1980, the Toronto Kendo Club is honoured to be one of the long-standing kendo dojos in the Greater Toronto Area. As we approach our 45th anniversary in 2025, we invite you to join us in reflecting on our journey and supporting the continued practice of kendo in our community.

Our Journey

Under the guidance of Shigeo Kimura Sensei, a 7th dan Kyoshi who came to Canada in 1973, our dojo has grown steadily over the years. We are grateful to be part of the vibrant Toronto kendo community, where we strive to uphold the principles and spirit of kendo. Over the years, we've had the privilege of participating in various tournaments, including World Kendo Championships, always with the goal of learning and improving ourselves.
